The Montreal Iveron Mother of God Icon. Russian Orthodox Icon. This icon was painted on Mount Athos around 1982, the original miracle working icon traveled around the world under the protection of Brother José Muñoz, who was killed in Athens, Greece in October 1997. The icon streamed miracle-working myrrh for 15 years before it was stolen on the night of Brother José's murder. It's current location is unknown. A copy of this icon exists today that is called the Hawaiian Iveron Icon and it is currently streaming myrrh and traveling across the United States.
