Theodorovskaya icon

Theodorovskaya Mother of God. Russian Orthodox Icon. In the 14th century residents of Kostroma, Russia, saw a radiant Saint Theodore Stratelates (an early 4th century Martyr) carrying this icon through their city streets. This icon was so closely associated with Saint Theodore that it began to be called Saint Theodore's icon, or the Theodorovskaya icon.
