Cover: The portrait of the Tsar was originally in a Russian Embassy abroad. When the Revolution struck, revolutionaries rushed at it with swords and ripped the face, thereby forming a Cross over it. It was later carefully restored so that now the portrait itself is a martyr. It is presently housed in the Maryhill Art Museum on the Columbia River in the State of Washington.
