Unexpected Joy icon

Unexpected Joy of the Mother of God.  Russian Orthodox Icon.  In old Russia there was a "pious" thief who would steal during the day and pray during the night in front of an icon of the Mother of God. One night while he was praying in front of the icon, the figures in the icon started moving and blood flowed from Christ's hands. The thief instantly realized his error and stopped stealing but continued to pray and began to live a truly pious life.
