Appearance of the Mother of God to Saint Cyril of White Lake. Russian Orthodox Icon. While reading an Akathist in his cell in front of an icon of the Mother of God St. Cyril heard a voice telling him to go to White Lake, and a bright light shown outside his cell from the north. St. Cyril looked out his cell window and saw a vision of the place at White Lake where he would later build a great monastery. White Lake in Russian is called Belozersk.
