Xenia of St Petersburg

Saint Xenia of St Petersburg Fool-for-Christ of eighteenth century Russia.  Russian Orthodox Icon.  Saint Xenia's husband, a military officer, died suddenly at a drinking party without repentance.  After his death, she traveled on pilgrimage throughout Russia seeking advice from Holy Elders.  She then sold all of her property and possessions and began to live on the streets of St. Petersburg as a Fool-for-Christ.  Blessed Xenia helped those in distress, warned others of danger, and hid her sanctity behind her foolish behavior.  She is especially known for helping people find employment.   She reposed around the year 1803.
