Guardian Angel with scenes of the Prodigal Son.  Russian Orthodox Icon. In the upper right corner of the icon, the Prodigal Son is dreaming of taking his inheritance from his father and leaving home to experience the world, and the devil is beginning to write down his sins and his guardian angel is weeping above him.  In the scene in the lower right corner, the Prodigal Son is squandering his inheritance with loose living, and the devil is standing behind him, but his guardian angel is nowhere to be seen.  In the bottom left corner, the Prodigal Son has repented and returned home, and his guardian angel is back with him. In the final scene (upper left corner) the Prodigal Son is on his blessed death bed, the devil is slinking away in shame, and his Guardian angel is standing next to him protecting him with a cross.
